Fun Activities to Do in L.A. for the Week

You should never be bored, especially if you are fortunate enough to live in the great city of Los Angeles. Us at the Chernov Team blog like to have fun, and I am sure you do to. Here are 3 fun activities that you can do this week.

For any music lovers, nothing beats having a physical copy of your favorite albums. This is what makes Amoeba such a great place to visit. The record store, located on Sunset Boulevard, is the largest independent record store in the entire country. It would be very surprising if you weren’t able to find what you were looking for. Whether you want CDs, cassette tapes, or even vinyls, Amoeba will be able to satisfy all your needs. The huge variety offered at the store makes it easy to lose track of time and find yourself looking at different albums for hours. Not to mention the great shows that are put on at the store.

EightyTwo is the first arcade bar in L.A., and it has quickly become a must for anyone into classic arcade games. The bar has over 40 classic arcade games and pinball machines. If you are in the mood to geek out, this is the place to do it at. The games have been kept in pristine condition and have not gotten boring, whatsoever. The bar is open until 2 a.m. from Tuesday to Sunday, meaning you will likely find yourself trying to set the record for your favorite game all night long. The establishment does a great job of bringing back the nostalgia of people’s childhood and the golden era of arcades.

A trip to the beach should be in your plans as summer approaches and as the days get hotter and hotter. Point Dume State Beach is a great place to have a fun beach day while avoiding the huge crowds of other beaches like Santa Monica and Venice. The beach is a great place for a swim, a surf session, or just relaxing on the sand. You may even be lucky enough to see a dolphin or whale swim by while you’re there. You’ll be able to park right against the sand, so you won’t have to worry about the 20-minute walk to the beach. Just be ready to pay for parking. Be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen as well. Nothing is worse than your skin turning red and peeling the day after your fun beach day.

These are some great ideas to make the most of your week. Invite your close friends or family, and these activities will be that much more fun.
