THE CHRISTMAS GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING

Consumerism is one of the staples of modern society, and the holiday season puts that reality on full display. However, most people seem to believe the holiday season is for purchasing smaller items on sale; these people fail to realize that you can get pretty good deals on much larger purchases, like homes, during the holidays as well.

It appears that December is the best month to buy a home, if you’re looking for the best price. The proof of this can be found in data points that suggest that homes sell for about 7% more than their market value in June (this is the highest point of the year), and only 1.2% more than their market value in December (the lowest point of the year). This study was conducted by looking at the sales of over 23 million units throughout the last 6 years.

Things break and need to be replaced, and most consumer items do not have a resale market. Thus, you should buy a home this Christmas (or next) and enjoy a gift that just keeps giving. Given the maxim that we should buy low and sell high, a Christmas house might be the savviest purchase you can make for the holidays.

At the Chernov Team we understand that knowledge is power, and knowledge of when to purchase the homes for the best value is powerful knowledge indeed. At the Chernov Team we know that whoever comes to the table most prepared leaves with the most, and the Chernov Team always leaves the table with the most.
