In the Chernov Team’s third installment of “Things to Do Near Studio City” previously named “summer in Studio City: Things to Do Around Town”), we continue to the continueour theme of staying healthy, with one caveat so major it quite literally blots out the sun.
(1) September 2, 2917 – Express Fitness –Two Mile Walk – Summer 2017
If you haven’t noticed by now, the Chernov Team enjoys moving in scenic locations to improve their overall health. This event should come as no surprise to our consistent readers. The title says it all – it’s a two-mile walk!
The event begins at 9:15 A.M, and lasts until about 9:45 AM (or later if you want to talk a leisurely stroll). Directions can be found here. Please note that they will be by the basketball court or on top of the hill near the picnic tables. Note: Time and date subject to change.
(2) August 31, 2017 – Open Mic Ordinaire
This event is a minor detour from our usual physical health focus. But let’s be honest, if laughter is the best medicine, then free comedy shows constitute medicine you won't have to pay an arm and leg for in premiums for, which will keep you in tip-top shape.
With excellent reviews, attending this free open mic night will feel like you lucked out, and got free tickets to a top notch comedy performance, as opposed to watching amateurs fail on stage. In all fairness, there may be a few failing acts up there, but at least they tried!

(3) September 2, 2017 – The Color Collective – September Show!
Thought we were done with comedy-related events? Think again! The Color Collective has received accolades for their innovative approach to comedy shows, and they’ve earned it. While this event starts late, you will be glad you went. This event is a “pay what you can” event, and beverages will be provided on site as well.
The Color Collective is a variety show that occurs once every month. The shows include everything including music, dance, stand-up, and sketch comedy. The main goal of the collective is to address topics that can’t be covered by others; the audience will simultaneously laugh and think.
