Fun Home Decorations for Halloween

With Halloween coming quickly, you’re going to want your home to be as spooky as possible. Decorating your home is a great way to have some fun and get into the spirit of Halloween. Here are some cool decoration ideas.

A country style Halloween makeover is a great way to make your home spooky and unique. Simply place your pumpkins around your front yard or porch and add some hay bales and corn stalks. Moreover, you can set up some spider web decorations to add to the creepy theme. Finally, add flowers with fall colors to bring the entire look of the home together. Not only will your home look like it’s ready for Halloween, it will likely be stand out. Unless you actually are in the country, hay bales and corn stalks are not very common.

An at-home pumpkin patch is a great way to attract eyes to your home during Halloween. Buying a lot of pumpkins can be quite expensive so creating your own would be your best option. Orange honeycomb balls are a great option, as they’re cheap and easy to find at any department store. Cut some black construction paper to make facial features and you have a cheap, easy, DIY jack-o-lantern. Set these up around your home and you’ll be stealing all business from your local pumpkin patch.

If your goal is to terrify any arachnophobe that takes a look at you home, spiders are obviously the way to go. This theme is much more straightforward than the others. Simply cover the front of your home with giant, furry spiders and you’re set. This may be a little pricier if you don’t know how to make any of these yourself; although, you can find anything on the internet. Be wary that going with this option of Halloween decor just might ruin relationships with your spider fearing neighbors.

If you would prefer that your guests feel welcomed and not terrified at the sight of your house, a fall harvest theme would be the best option. To pull off this look, focus on using fall colors, shades of red, orange, brown, etc. Place a few jack-o-lanterns around. Add some fall colored flowers and leaves. Stay away from the scary monsters and use cute animals like owls. The idea is to give your home a cozier vibe, rather than a scary one.

Any of these Halloween decoration themes would be a great option. Find one that you like and go all out. The most important aspect of your decorating should be to have fun while doing it.
