Summer is nearly upon us. This means pool parties, beach trips, and generally events where we are expected to show a little skin. It goes without saying (even though we are saying it) that you are perfect just the way you are. Notwithstanding the fact that you are perfect the way you are, it is normal to want to sculpt your body in anticipation of summer.

FITBOX – FITBOX is, and has always been, a family-owned business – each parent and child taking in active role in assisting people in attaining their fitness goals. The fact that FITBOX is family owned and run infuses the entire gym with the sense that everyone is on the same team, in pursuit of the same goals. On any given day, there is a very good chance you will see a member of the Chernov Team working up a sweat under the tutelage of one of their many skilled instructors. FITBOX specializes in high cardio kickboxing classes, as well as weightlifting classes focusing on compound exercises designed to build core strength through heavy weight and low rep lifting. Systems Training Center – Encino – Located on Ventura Blvd and Lindley Ave, Systems Training Center looks like your run-of-the-mill hole in the wall martial arts studio. Like most things, what’s on the inside is something truly special. Systems Training Center offers a fitness boot camp three days a week (morning and evening), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (all ages), Krav Maga, and Muay Thai. The schedule is designed to fit into nearly everyone’s busy days. What sets Systems Training Center apart, is the staff and the students. Each person there wants you to accomplish your goals and goes to great lengths to assist you in that endeavor. Like the Chernov Team, and FITBOX, a family-esque sense imbues the air with a cordial, yet no-nonsense, scent.
