DIY Projects : You’re on a Budget, but Your Bathroom Doesn’t Have to Reflect That – Part II

On Monday, we discussed cheap DIY projects to make your bathroom look like you’ve invested thousands into it. Today, we are continuing that theme. Without further delay, here are a few more ideas to spice up your life in the room that houses your porcelain throne.
Often times, people don’t change the light fixtures in the bathroom after they move in. The natural result is that your bathroom lighting can be incredibly outdated (which makes it look less appealing). It doesn’t need to be that way, and you don’t need to break the bank to change it. Changing lights can make your bathroom look entirely new, and that’s what we’re shooting for. Lighting is used to master reflection and light in less illuminated areas; dimmers are also good for mood lighting. This isn’t a DIY project per se, hiring a handyman or electrician would be a good idea, just a reminder that you can get a lot of bang for your buck when you use lighting to make your bathroom look a little snazzier.
Next up, investing in a new shower head will pay dividends the next time you step in the shower. This is a particularly important upgrade as well, since most buyers will be turned off by an outdated shower head – remember, the key to a good day is a good shower and a strong cup of coffee.
If you want to drastically improve the appearance and ambiance of your bathroom, then today’s tips paired with the tips we gave you on Monday will go a long way towards achieving that goal.
At the Chernov Team we understand that knowledge is power, and knowledge of how to make your home appear pricier is powerful knowledge indeed; particularly when it comes to showing your house to potential buyers.
